Sevenfold Ties 

A man whom prefers a bigger knot, or a men whom appreciates sartorial details on a necktie, appreciates a sevenfold tie.

The sevenfold tie however has six folds. The 7 fold tie is also known in Italy as the "cravatta sette pieghe". The sevenfold tie is made out of one piece of silk (approx. twice as big as used for the regular tie), the tie is hand stitched and folded six times. most of these ties are made by hand in Napoli.

Some tie manufacturers even stepped it up and produced a ninefold, tenfold or even 11 fold tie.

Less known tie maker Luigi Monaco created thick and heavy silk 9 fold and 11 fold ties, featuring contrast stitching and picture on the back of the tie.
