Kiton Ties - Sevenfold Ties

Kiton Napoli

Kiton Napoli 7 fold Tie
Kiton is a famous high-end Italian tie, suit and shirt maker. As more Italian designer brands start moving production to other countries, Kiton stays in Napoli and keeps producing in Italy only, all hand made clothing and accessories.

As we speak, most of Ermenegildo Zegna and Valentino men dress shirts are made in Romania or Turkey, for example. Several tie brands stayed in Italy but are machine made instead of hand made.

Sartorial Tradition: Kiton Napoli

Kiton is about sartorial details and tradition. Not cheap. The Kiton sevenfold ties retail for $275 at Barney's New York, also to be found at Saks 5th Avenue. The sevenfold tie uses significant more silk than the regular fold tie, which result in a heavier tie and great knot. Kiton's styles are in a wide range. Lots of different designs, lots of colors to choose from, just the mood you are in will decide the tie you want. Made in small batches, it will be rare to see the same design Kiton tie twice. Printed silk sevenfold ties are self-tipped (silk at back blade of the tie) and jacquard woven silk design have a regular tip in the back (tie would get to thick otherwise).

Kiton are sold at Barney's New York, Saks 5th Avenue and a very few exclusive stores. Some styles (be aware of old styles which have a 3.75" blade or wider) are for sale on Ebay and a few online stores. Kiton ties are all sevenfold ties and all hand made in Napoli, Italy.
